Desk basics

For people an admin has invited to the desk. This page holds no investor or deal data; everything below is about how the desk works.

In brief

Signing in

An admin adds you under Settings → Team & access and gives you a role: admin, caller, researcher or viewer. Use that email to sign in. Admins may require two-factor sign-in; set it up from the menu under your name. A view-only account sees contact details masked.

The first time you sign in, a seven-step tour walks through the deal, the investor list, the dialer, indications, eligibility, Connections and help. Replay it from ? → DESK TOUR.

The active deal

Choose the deal on the Pipeline page or in the DEAL menu at the top. Scoring, pricing, the order book, the compliance checklist and the call list all follow it.

Investor list and dialer

The call list shows every fund and bank, scored against the active deal. Filter, open a profile and log the call, note or follow-up date. The dialer takes you through the queue one firm at a time with the script and last notes. Call-backs can be downloaded as calendar files or added to Google or Outlook; nothing is sent to anyone.

Indications and eligibility

Enter each buyer’s indication (amount, maturities, yield floor) on the Deal desk. Before anything is allotted, the buyer needs current eligibility evidence (it expires after 16 months) and a clear OFAC check. The server enforces both; there is no override in the browser.

Exports and records

CSV exports, printed call sheets and calendar files go through the same gated download: each one counts toward a daily limit and is logged with a fingerprint. Contact files from Salesforce or HubSpot can be imported on the Contacts page; firms are matched to the existing investor list and nothing creates a new firm.

Outside services

The Connections page shows which outside services are switched on: phone and call recording, transcription, firm mailboxes, electronic signatures (Dropbox Sign) and licensed market data. A tool that needs one says “not connected” and names what is missing until an admin adds it.

Market levels on the desk come from public sources such as FRED and are labelled. Licensed index values are never typed in or collected by script.
